PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am a three-sport athlete who as a sophomore earned a starting safety position on the varsity football team and time as a running back, where I averaged 6.3 yards per carry. I'm quick and quite strong for my size....but my best asset is my determination and grit. I'm an athlete. I'm a competitor.
On the lacrosse field I am a threatening dodger, who can finish strong with a shot or a dish. I am used as a wing on faceoffs because of my speed, strength, and hunger to win ground balls. I am not afraid to get physical.
I've been playing lacrosse since I was 10 years old, and have been fortunate to play for some incredible coaches who have helped build my lacrosse skills as well as my enthusiasm for the game. I have played with and against some of the best players and teams in the South Central PA and Baltimore Metro Area.
My freshman year I worked hard enough to make the varsity lacrosse team at Dallastown High School, however the season was shut-down before the first game due to COVID-19. I decided to use that time to work with trainer Pat Hanley (Belair, MD) to improve my strength and conditioning, as well as my skills and lax IQ. I was excited to make it back on the field this spring to play my sophomore year, and earned the Coach's Award for Unsung Hero of the 2021 season.
As a three sport athlete, I'm always "in season"....but still continue to cross-train on my own and have added in work with speed and power coach Rich Garcia to continue to push me.
I enjoy nothing more than playing with a group of teammates that have good chemistry, good skill, and most importantly, good attitudes. I pride myself on my work ethic and always wanting to improve both on the field and in the classroom. My coaches would describe me as "coachable", and no one outworks me at practices.
I am a Distinguished Honor student, in the top 20% of my class, and keep a challenging schedule that includes honors classes. I actively participate in school clubs and volunteer in my community.
I am looking for a program at a college that best fits me as a student-athlete...where I can contribute on the field and thrive in the classroom. I am still exploring my talents and options before I determine a major, though I am leaning towards the field of Business.
